I have compiled a list of terms used by SIU when talking about Zahard's Army. I will update this list if he expands upon it.

야전군 (Yajeongun) - Field Army
군단 (Gudan) - Corp
사단 (Sadan) - Division
단 (Dan) - Group
연대 (Yeondea) - Regiment
대대 (Deadea) - Battalion
대 (Dea) - Unit
중대 (Jungdea) - Company
소대장 (Sodaejang) - Platoon
분대 (Bundae) - Squad

별동대 (Byeoldong-dae) - Detached Unit
야전(군) 사령관 (Yajeon Salyeong-gwan) - Field Marshal
사령관 (Salyeong-gwan) - Commander

부 (Bu) - Vice
장 (Jang) - General/Commander
대장군 (Deajang-gun) - Grand General (Historical title)
장군 (Jang-gun) General Officer (Any General Rank Officer)
단장 (Danjang) - Leader/Commandant
함장 (Hamjang) - Captain (Ship term)

장 (Jang) is combined with a unit size for the leader's rank, ex;
중대 (Company) + 장 (Commander) = 중대장 (Company Commander).

Adori Zahard, the head of the Army, is given the rank of Commander-in-Chief (총사령관), usually reserved for the president/leader of a country.

The reason SIU chooses to not use the official Korean Army ranks for the Commissioned Officers might be to keep it simple for people not familiar with the army. As the role the military personell hold is more important than knowing the exact rank they hold, with several ranks being able to be a commander of a Corp, Division, or Platoon. If several characters in the same position have different ranks, it might confuse some readers. However, this might change in the future.

Update for Volum 3

Non-Commissioned Officers are so far given the official Korean Army ranks, but the only person that is shown with such a rank is Kallavan.[1] With him being a Staff Sergeant - 하사 (Hasa), which is NATO code OR-6, which is a relatively high rank for a soldier, which makes Kallavan calling himself 'just a common soldier' seeming a bit pessimistic.

For the character of Unnamed Captain 1, SIU uses the more general term Captain (함장), which would mean the Captain of the Ship, but not the military rank of Captain.[2]

In Volume 3, SIU seem to be more open to give actual army ranks, like Unnamed Commander 1, who was given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (중령).[3] Given that SIU has used two specific Korean Army ranks in Volume 3, it would indicate that all the other "Commanders" also have proper Army ranks in addition to their command post title.
