Po Bidau Dumas (포 비더 뒤마) is a High Ranker from the Po Bidau Family. He first appeared in the background when Po Bidau Gustang captured Rachel and Ha Yura. He is a Gustang's Writing and received his Family Leader's 'strictness'^[3].

Appearances and Personality[]

Dumas is a giant humanoid beast with long orange hair, light brown skin and his face is covered by a bizarre monster like mask with multiple eyes. Later, it would be revealed that this is not Dumas’s true body, but his Armor.

Dumas has shown to have a very stoic, quiet and reserved personality. Rarely talking or conversing with others unless needed to. Aside from this, Dumas has shown to be extremely loyal to his family’s head, Po Bidau Gustang, as shown where Dumas is known as one of his most reliable warriors and Dumas himself follows his orders without question to the letter. As shown, Dumas holds his family head in an extremely high regard and respects the other Great Family Heads and sees them in the same light, as shown where he politely and respectfully greeted Lo Po Bia Traumerei despite now officially being enemies. Later, upon hearing of how Lo Po Bia Ju, Lo Po Bia Tump and the other Branch Heads agreed to turn against Traumerei and join the Po Bidau Army due to Traumerei’s disregard and apathy for them, Dumas was enraged at them. Having immediately branded them as “scum” who has ungratefully turned against the person responsible for all the comfort, power and safety they have enjoyed their whole lives and proceeded to massacre them in retaliation for abandoning their Family Head. Khun Aguero Agnis has also noted that Dumas is highly intelligent and cunning, as shown where he quickly figured out that the Chess Piece Khun has presented to him to think that he was Gustang’s King piece wasn’t the same as the Chess Piece provided for the game after evaluating the chess piece of Lo Po Bia Tump after noticing how the quality of materials and artistic quality was different from Khun’s piece, as the one’s used for the game was simply made, but the materials used were top quality, while Khun’s where expensively designed, but with cheaper materials.

Dumas’s true body inside his Armor Dimension was shown to have semblance to that of his armor. Dumas was shown to be that of a tall, highly muscular, middle aged man, with brown toned skin and long, wild brown hair reaching past his waist. He has shown to wear the typical dress of the Po Bidau Family's men, a white long sleeved button up and black slacks, albeit Dumas's does not wear any shoes and prefers to go barefoot. Dumas has shown to have a bizarre horizontal, tattoo/scar like marks on his face with glowing red eyes, positioned the same way the eyes of his armor's head is positioned. Dumas also has shown to wear a monocle.

Powers and Abilities[]

Dumas is a High Ranker and so expected to be extremely strong. He is known as the most reliable warrior in the Po Bidau Family.^[4]

Later, after coming to Rott to retrieve Gustang’s Book, Dumas directly confronted Baylord Yama. Where Dumas then proceeded to overpower him with ease and Yama barely enduring one of his attacks, admitting to Dumas’s immense power. As stated by Lo Po Bia Yasratcha, Dumas is the third most powerful member of the Po Bidau Family. ^[5]

As shown, Dumas is powerful enough to seriously challenge and threaten Ha Jinsung, a fellow Ancient High Ranker and direct descendent of the Ha Family. ^[6] As shown, Dumas’s power easily equates to several Branch Family Heads, shown where he easily overpowered Lo Po Bia Ju and Lo Po Bia Tump, with them and their Shinheuh being one sidedly massacred by Dumas when he got serious.

Later during Dumas’s confrontation against Lo Po Bia Traumerei, Dumas’s monstrous power is further showcased where he was able to fight and kill several of Traumrei’s Shinheuh, including some of the seven of his most powerful ones. As shown where Dumas killed the his Giant Crocodile Shinheuh, Five clones of Fandore Harpe, Poison Dragon Vanquish and Traumerei’s bird-dinosaur creature. ^[7]

Spear Bearer[]

As shown, Dumas primarily uses a thick and heavy looking spear when fighting. As shown during his initial, brief fight with Baylord Yama, his spear attacks are immensely strong and a single strike was able to tear off all the flesh from his wrist and expose his bones.

Double Bladed Spear: As shown, Dumas used a double bladed spear with needle like ends. As shown, both ends of the spear that is used as the handle possess Suspendium stones each end, along with the end of the needle blades of the spear, causing these sections to float independently from the handle body . As shown, alongside using a traditional spear style, Dumas can also seemingly mentally manipulate the floating needle ends of the spear to attack his opponent from multiple, odd angles. ^[8]
Carrier Rosario: Dumas also possess the first Carrier type weapons revealed. This Carrier appears as a compass like bracelet also possessing numerous Suspendium stones. The bracelet compass is then surrounded by multiple needles, spears and blades with suspendium in their ends, causing them to levitate around the bracelet. As shown, Dumas fights using these weapons by mentally commanding each and every one of these needles to attack his target from multiple directions and angles.^[9] Later it was revealed that this weapon is in truth a powerful Ignition Weapon that once ignited, produces two long barbed spears and two large blades arranged into a compass like formation that Dumas can then mentally manipulate to attack multiple opponents, as shown where he ignited this weapon to simultaneously overpower Ha Jinsung, Baylord Yama, Karaka and Twenty-Fifth Baam, all of whom where powerful High Rankers(or had power equivalent of one), in a single attack, seriously injuring Jinsung, Yama and Karaka. ^[10]
Transformation: When fighting using his true body, Dumas has showcased that he could also make the Carrier Rosario undergo a similar transformation. As noted by Baam, the power he sensed that radiated from this weapon approached the same level of the Data version of the Great Family Heads and King Zahard that he had met into the past. Hinting that Dumas was one of the few in the Tower whose level approached theirs.^[11]
- Ignition: While in this transformed form, Dumas could also additionally make Carrier Rosario ignite, launching an extremelly powerful spear of red cross shaped flame like Shinsu at his target.^[12]

Armor[]

Armor: As noted by Ha Jinsung after initially breaking Dumas into two, Dumas possess the same kind of armor possessed by Karaka, granting Dumas the same level of “immortality” possessed by him. With Jinsung noting that Dumas’s “Heart” is not present in his physical body and thus he only succeeded in temporarily destroying his physical outer shell, making it extremely difficult to kill Dumas, which added with his immense power, made him extremely dangerous to fight. ^[13] Thanks to the armor’s immense durability and immortality, Dumas has shown immense combat prowess and endurance even when “injured”, as shown he was able to continue fighting even when Poison Dragon Vanquish’s acid poison had destroyed both of his arms. ^[14]
- Regeneration: Much like Karaka’s Armor, Dumas’s can regenerate and restore itself from any damage inflicted on it, even if such attacks were from a High Ranker.^[15]
- Transformation: As shown after Jinsung initially destroyed his armor, Dumas can transform his armor’s form and enter into a more powerful one when fighting against strong opponents.^[16] Later, upon engaging both Lo Po Bia Ju and Lo Po Bia Tump, Dumas showcased that his armor could transform even further. Turning into a luminous, purple-indigo form that enhances his power even further.^[17] In this form, Dumas showed that he was powerful enough to one-sidedly massacre Tump and Ju’s Shinheuh, before proceeding to brutalize the both of them, with the latter two being completely unable to defend themselves against Dumas. Successfully defeating and killing two Branch Heads of the Lo Po Bia Family while missing both of his arms.^[18]
- Armor Dimension: Much like Karaka's Armor Suit, Dumas Armor contains its own pocket dimension inside of it. Where Dumas conceals and contains his true “Heart” and is the secret to the Immortality his Armor gives him. Much like Karaka's Heart, if Dumas’s heart is destroyed, he will truly die. Due to this, he refuses to allow anyone into his armor dimension to better protect his heart. Like Karaka, its been implied that Dumas can also open up gateways into his armor dimension at will and capture anyone he wants inside of it, but he refuses to do so for the aforementioned reason. ^[19]

Physical Abilities[]

In both his armor and true body, Dumas has showcased monstrous physical strength and speed, as shown where he could easily overpower High Rankers using his spear and a single spear strike from him was powerful enough to tear through Baylord Yama’s flesh, as shown where a single attack from him was able to completely obliterate his wrists flesh and expose wrist his bones. When battling Lo Po Bia Tump and Lo Po Bia Ju, Dumas was able to easily fight them using his legs after losing both his arms to Poison Dragon Vanquish’s acidic poison, using powerful kicks and the unique clawed feet of his armor to grapple his opponents. As shown where he used clawed feet to grab Tump’s elephant Shinheuh and tear it to pieces and ripping off Tump’s head the same way.

Inside his armor, Dumas’s true body has shown to be immensely skilled in close quarter combat and showcased high level of skill in martial arts. As shown where he managed to physically overpower and flip Twenty-Fifth Baam over and incapacitated him in a single move. ^[20] However, after fighting his true body within his Armor, Baam eventually noticed that Dumas's true body within his armor was much weaker in comparison to his strength while fighting in the outside using his armor.

True Body Transformation[]

Much like when he fights using his armor, Dumas has displayed that he could also transform and enter into a stronger form when fighting using his actual body. As shown, this transformation is similar to the ones of his armor hinting to a connection between the two. Dumas turns into fiery purple like form, developing red spikes in his hips and pelvis, his hair becomes purple/indigo flames alongside several red-purple sclera eyes. ^[21]

Notes and Trivia[]

He is probably named after the French writer Alexandre Dumas.
As noted by Ha Jinsung, Dumas was a high ranked High Ranker in the past, but due to becoming inactive in recent years, his rankings went down. But never the less, Dumas’s power was still widely feared and respected by other High Rankers. ^[22]
