Lo Po Bia Perseus (로 포 비아 페르세우스, Peleuse-useu) is the Branch Head of the White Stallion Family, a family branch of the Lo Po Bia Family. He is a High Ranker. He was selected to escort or accompany the Family Head, Lo Po Bia Traumerei to visit The Nest.[3]
Appearances and Personality[]
Perseus has light green medium long hair and red eyes. He wears a yellow sweater with a black dress underneath, along with matching high boots.
Personality wise Perseus is very confident in his capabilities as one of the strongest branch heads, showing pride in his position. He has a very strong sense of loyalty towards Traumerei, volunteering to escort him to the nest.[3]
History[]
Tower of God: Part 3[]
Warp Gate (Arc)[]
Lo Po Bia Perseus talked to Lo Po Bia Pudidy about his complain regarding Lo Po Bia Holan who was also selected to escort the Family Head into The Nest. Perseus considers that Holan did not fit for the job since he is still a Hatchling and has low experience.[3]
The Descent (Arc)[]
Pudidy, Perseus and Holan arrived in The Nest after they Warp through the Portal inside Raven, the flagship of Corps Commander Po Bidau Lyborick Khun. They then kneeled down to greet the arrival of the head of Lo Po Bia Family, Lo Po Bia Traumerei who also came into The Nest.[4]
As Pudidy and Holan are sent after the irregular, Perseus is charged with remaining near the Family Head. When Han Sung speaks, Perseus uses his Seahorse's Rein technique to catch him and threatens to kill him for speaking in front of their Family Leader, until Traumerei recognizes him as the person his friend is looking for, ordering Perseus to take him to the ship instead.[5]
Defensive Battle[]
Sensing Yama's presence nearby, Traumerei calls on Cobalt to summon them to their location. Once he recognized who Yama is, Traumerei orders Perseus to capture the slayer, which he does. However, Yama manages to break free from the reins.[6]
The Offer[]
Doom attempts to sneak into the warp fleet while Traumerei is distracted, Perseus notices and captures him with his reins but fails to notice that Han Sung has done the same.[7]
The Ten Great Family Leaders (Calamity)[]
Perseus' reins used to hold Doom are destroyed by Yasratcha.[8] Perseus then tries to catch Baam as he attempts to escape, but is surprised when the regular uses a power similar to transformation to destroy his reins.[9] After receiving news that Gustang has arrived at the battleship, Traumerei orders the Branch Heads to capture the irregular and make their way back to the warp fleet in order to return to the battleship. However, in the chaos left by Traumerei's attack, Perseus is forced to return to the warp fleet without Baam, and is teleported away from the nest along with Pudidy, Holan, Meyer, and Candidi.[10]
Warp (Arc)[]
The teleportation takes Perseus and the others to the Ark of Knowledge. To hide their identities they all turn their pockets off in order to find a way to sneak out and call for help from the Mothership. Upon their arrival a member of the Po Bidau family reads to them an excerpt from Robinson Crusoe, which annoys Perseus as he is not interested in books.[11]
Lilial Jahad (Arc)[]
Taken as castaways on the Po Bidau ship, Perseus is present as Pudidy is forced to read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer to a crowd.[12]
Declaration Of War[]
Still on the Ark of Knowledge, Perseus and the others continue to pose as castaways but are told they have the chance to attend a public reading held by the Family Head himself. Perseus is discouraged by the long six hours ahead and is tired of books. It turns out that the public reading is a trap to turn the Po Bidau family against the Lo Po Bias, blaming the castaways for corrupting history. The castaways quickly understand the danger they face as they attempt to flee in the hopes that one of them will survive and return home to warn their family. Perseus summons the Percheron Athens but fails to escape as Gustang teleports before him and sets him ablaze, followed by an attack from Po Bidau Kir that kills him.[13]
Powers and Abilities[]
Perseus is considered to be among the strongest Branch Heads within the Lo Po Bia Family along with Lo Po Bia Pudidy and Lo Po Bia Whitegarment Widow. This clearly indicates that Perseus is a strong High Ranker.
- Rein of Seahorse: A special skill of Perseus to bind the opponent. As shown, this technique was strong enough to restrain other High Rankers such as Baylord Yama and Baylord Doom. Perseus could also use this technique offensively by choking and strangling his target’s throats, as shown where he had nearly strangled Yu Han Sung to death.
Anima[]
As a member of the Lo Po Bia Family, Perseus inherited the ability to control and dominate Shinheuh.
- Percheron Athens: A white horse-fish Shinheuh hybrid known as the Percheron Athens. Perseus controls and rides this Shinheuh using his Rein of Seahorse technique and is the source of his Sobriquet, "White Stallion".
Notes and Trivia[]
- The name Perseus maybe a reference to a well known hero from Greek mythology with the same name, connected to horses as he defeated Medusa resulting in the birth of pegasus.[14]
