Donghae (동해, 東海, Donghae, "Eastern Sea") is a Sword and also an Ignition Weapon that currently belongs to Hatsu.[2][1]
History[]
Lero-Ro give Donghae to Hatsu
Donghae was originally a Sword owned by Wolhaiksong,[1] an organization of Urek Mazino. According to Ranker Lero-Ro, the Wolhaiksong wanted to help the friends of Jyu Viole Grace (most likely because Urek himself has officially invited Viole to join Wolhaiksong[3][4]); so the organization had carefully chosen Donghae and gave it to Lero-Ro and asked him to deliver the sword to one of Viole's friends who can use a sword.[1]
At some point after the 30F Workshop Battle, Lero-Ro called Ship Leesoo and Hatsu into his room. Inside the room, Lero-Ro gave Donghae to Hatsu and explained that the sword was a special gift from Wolhaiksong.[1]
Appearance and Design[]
Donghae is an ornately decorated weapon with a heavily stylized 'cross-guard', a burnt red-colored hilt and a mechanical-looking blade that glows in an ember-like color; it is sheathed within a crimson ornately decorated sheathe. Hatsu noted that this sword is not used often because it is difficult to wield.[2]

Donghae was first showed in the Name Hunt Station when Hatsu and Ship Leesoo encountered a strong opponent, Princess Lo Po Bia Shilial Zahard on their way to the Kaiser's Grand Gallery.[2] At that time, Hatsu did not ignite Donghae but when he swung it, the sword released a big amount of flames.[5]
Donghae is an Ignition Weapon, so it has a soul. This soul is very proud and does not listen to strong people. Donghae's strength and abilities also change depending on the situation and its mood. It is said many Rankers have died after they try to ignite Donghae. They just pass out and never wake up.[1]
Lero-Ro had warned Hatsu that Donghae is very dangerous and risky, so he told Hatsu not to take out the sword or try to ignite it unless he absolutely has to, like in a urgent or emergency situation. However, Lero-Ro said that Donghae will more likely listen to people who are weak. But the owner must free of greed and has a pure mind.[1]
Donghae was first ignited in The Cat Tower when Hatsu tried to break the mind control Spell used by Kendrick Diel to control a large crowd of prisoners from many different Race. It turns out that Donghae can break the Daze technique very easily to create a chance for Cha to attack Kendrick Diel.[1]
