Enkidu (엔키두), formerly Lo Po Bia Enkidu, is a creature that's connected to the past history of Lo Po Bia Traumerei. It is a creature created by The Workshop and was given to Traumerei.
Appearances and Personality[]
Enkidu is a very weird looking creature. It has a human head and little spinal cord, but it has no body at all. Just a flying humanoid head covered in a cube-shaped blue slimy substance. The face of Enkidu is scary and it looks angry full of madness or hatred. It has 2 horns on each side of his head temple.
History[]
Enkidu killed a person that's dear to Traumerei. This person was revealed to be Amizu, but the history surrounding the event is debated as to Traumerai or Enkidu was the person to kill her. The event was so traumatic that it is said that Traumerei often had nightmares that always keep him awake at night. Because he cannot bear the pain, Traumerei decided to erase his memory of the incident by feeding it to Leviathan, one of his sea dragon. The Leviathan noted that Traumerei fed it with nasty memories.
The nameless creature gifted to Traumerei
It was later revealed that Enkidu is a creation of the Master of The Workshop, who made it under Traumerei’s request. In the past, The Master had promised to give a present to Traumerei when he was climbing the Tower and had not been able to get around to it until after Traumerei finished the climb with his companions. Traumerei had always desired to have “ A creature that was nothing in and itself, but can become anything”, Gustang, having been in contact with the Master, passed along Traumerei’s request to him, resulting in Enkidu’s creation.
After the Master had created Enkidu, who at the time was nothing more than a nameless cube of jelly, he sent him to Traumerei with instructions to take good care of it. Confused at the strange creature, Traumerei initially ignored the cube of jelly. However, over time, the cube gradually became more and more sentient and aware of its surroundings. Eventually it began following Traumerei around.
During this time, the Cube of Jelly began exhibiting its unique powers. Particularly its ability to shape-shift and take the form, behavior and voice of any entity it comes across. While many of Traumerei’s followers were uncomfortable and disturbed by the jelly cube, Traumerei soon began getting interested in it and realized that it was indeed the creature that “was nothing, but can become anything”. Traumerei eventually asked the cube of jelly to become an entirely new person, not just shapeshift into a preexisting person. When it asked why, Traumerei responded it was because he was lonely.
Hearing its Prayers, Headon appeared before and offered to help Enkidu fulfill its wish
The cube, realizing that Traumerei ‘s request was due to his previous companions splitting up after they finished their climb and began pursuing their own agendas, realized how lonely Traumerei had become. This nameless cube of jelly then began praying, to anything and everything, to help it become an actual person. This went on for a long time before eventually, its prayers were answered by Headon. Headon explained that it was impossible for it to became a entirely new person, as this would be going against Tower’s rules that clearly divides challengers and non-challengers, but it was possible, as a unique being, for it to take the body and identity of a preexisting person. Teleporting them to a battlefield, Headon directed it to the strongest warrior fighting, “Enkidu” and told it to possess him.
Not doubting Headon’s words, the nameless cube of jelly proceeded to posses Enkidu. Taking his name, identity and body, “Enkidu” then proceeded to Traumerei’s location, who was battling an Ancient at the time. Attacking the Ancient from behind, Enkidu then introduced himself to his master in his new body, Traumerei understanding who and what Enkidu truly was, was delighted by him finally becoming a “human”. Powers and Abilities[]
Transformation/Shape-shifting[]
After Rachel broke the seal of Enkidu's prison shield, Enkidu apparently can change its form and become very big in size. He can create a gigantic body with 2 limbs and 2 legs which all made up with the blue slimy substance that originated from Enkidu's head. Later, it would be revealed that this slime substance is Enkidu’s true body and he could produce/transform his stolen bodies into this jelly like form at will to change his shape.
It was later revealed that Enkidu’s power to change his shape is one of his innate abilities and that this jelly like form is his true form. In the past, Enkidu learned how to change its form, voice and mimic the behavior of another person.[1]
Possession[]
Much like Parasites, Enkidu can steal the bodies from other beings and use them like his own. As shown where after he was incinerated by Po Bidau Gustang, Enkidu managed to survive as a small fragment and possess Lo Po Bia Goruro, completely suppressing his original personality and gaining sole control over his body.[2] As specified by Enkidu, as long as the conditions are right, he can possess and steal any bodies of any male he wants. [3]
As shown, Enkidu can also simultaneously manifest his previous host bodies alongside his current host body, allowing him to use all of their abilities and powers at the same time.
- Lo Po Bia Goruro: After taking Goruro’s body, Enkidu can now use all of his abilities and powers. As shown where Enkidu now has complete control over his Six-legged Lizards and could produce them from his mouth. Unlike Goruro’s six-legged lizards, Enkidu’s lizards have shown to be mutated, gaining several eyes across their bodies. As shown, Enkidu can use both his original abilities and Goruro’s at the same time. It was also implied that when Enkidu took over Goruro’s body, he had also absorbed his six-legged lizard as well, having showcased to now be able to transform into a huge six legged lizard.[4]
- Po Bidau Bellerir: Later, while fighting Tiara, Enkidu went ahead and possessed the injured Bellerir who she was interrogating. After gaining control of Bellerir’s body, Enkidu was able to use his body to fight Tiara, albeit Enkidu had noted that Bellerir’s body was incredibly weak as he wasn’t a High Ranker.
- Enkidu (Original): It was later revealed that the name “Enkidu” originally belonged to a renown warrior in the past. He was “Enkidu’s” first host body and has since adopted his name as hs own. As shown, since acquiring this body, Enkidu gained his original hosts immense strength and sword skills, having notablly been able to injure a Ancient Giant in the past.[1] In their past, after he acquired this body, Traumerei was noted to have personally trained Enkidu how to use Shinsu and how to fight. [5]
Administrator’s Blessings[]
As revealed by Enkidu, in the past, while he was still serving Lo Po Bia Traumerei, he had made a contract with the Administrators that granted Enkidu two special blessings that granted him special protection and powers.
- 1st Blessing: The first blessing granted through these contracts is that, aside from the 10 Great Family Heads, no other being in the Tower can kill Enkidu. While able to injure and weaken him, unless they are one of the Family Heads, Enkidu cannot be killed by them.[3]
- 2nd Blessing: The second blessing granted to Enkidu is that aside from the 10 Great Family Heads, he can bring death anyone he likes. Although the specifics havent been revealed, Enkidu has stated that he needs to be justified when killing someone using this blessing. As shown, this blessing allows him to kill someone even if they are more powerful than him, as shown where he managed to kill Po Bidau Tiara despite her being much stronger than him and her largely overpowering him during their fight.[3] As revealed by Enkidu when he was lucid for a short time during his interrogation, Enkidu cannot consciously harm or kill any of Traumerei’s former companions who climbed up the Tower with him, not just the 10 who became Great Family Heads. As Enkidu admitted that he couldn’t have killed Amizu, one of the Great Warriors, consciously and thus could have only done it if he was being mind controlled by Traumerei. [6]

Notes and Trivia[]
- It is said that Traumerei actually wanted Enkidu to become a human. So it is not a human. Enkidu himself has similarities with Parasites due to being able to take over other people’s bodies.
- Gustang and Hwaryun calls Enkidu as a creature. Later, it was revealed that Enkidu himself was a creation of The Workshop’s master as a gift to Traumerei. As stated by Headon, Enkidu is a unique being created by the Master and that there are certain loopholes he falls into that lets him go around the Tower’s Rules.
