Arie Adori Zahard (아리에 아도리 자하드, Arieh Ahdoree Jahad, Arieh Adoree Jahad) is currently the strongest active Princess in the Tower. She is the Commander-in-Chief of Zahard's Army[5] as well as the captain of Zahard's Royal Guards.[1]
She wields the only S-rank weapon of the 13 Month Series, the Golden November.[1]
History
Although ranked highly, she has no noticeable achievements as a Ranker.[1] Even though she is the captain of Zahard's Royal Guards, since she does not like wandering around, she rarely participates in active duty.[1]
Appearance and Personality
Like many members of her family, Adori has white hair and eyes.
Based on the lore, Adori is known to be very quiet and cool-headed. Because she has little care for worldly matters, she often lies down alone and gets lost in her own fantasies. [1] However, as there are many secrets to her private life, no one really knows the true Adori. But it is widely known to any of her fans that she will allow a person she likes to call her by her birth name.[1]
Adori has great loyalty to Zahard and is determined to eliminate all threats to his reign. After learning of Zahard's three orders, she expressed her resolve to ensure that a war does not start, stated she is merely the blade that cuts down the enemies of Zahard's family, and so the military should try to annihilate all three enemies.
Adori can show mercy to her subordinates if they failed, at least those who are sufficiently powerful, as she kept Kallavan after he disastrously failed to kill Baam with only demotion and an arm tied as punishment.[6] On the other hand, it was her who appointed Lyborick as the new 4th corps commander, Maschenny thought it was really like her to support such a lunatic. She also approved the plan to get rid of the whole 4th Corp since they were more loyal to Kallavan than King Zahard.
Tower of God: Part 3
The Wall of Peaceful Coexistence
Through a quick flashback from Kallavan, the former commander of the 4th Army Corp, it was shown that Adori apparently went easy on him with the consequences after failing the mission from the Last Station to kill the Twenty-Fifth Baam. She had an oath tied to his left arm and demoted Kallavan to a regular soldier.
Adori then gave a direct order to Kallavan and Yasratcha, the commander of the 5th Army Corp, to destroy the Wall of Peaceful Coexistence. Adori believed the roots to all these problems are coming from Baam the Irregular. She wants to slay the heroes within the wall or make them surrender before they are released once again to organize themselves and assist Baam's fight against the Empire. Adori also said a massive war will break out soon between Great Families because the Ha Family are upset from how poorly Yuri is being treated and the Po Bidau Family directly implied a rupture against the Zahard Empire.[7]
Powers and Abilities
Even before she became a Ranker, she quite easily defeated an Advanced Ranker.[1] The records even show that before the Enne Zahard incident, Garam and Adori fought once; it hadn't been only 100 years since Adori had become a Ranker, yet she was able to overwhelm Garam.[1] Since then, in the few battles she’s had against Rankers, she defeated all of them with overwhelming combat prowess.[1]
Her sobriquet "Killer Whale" (범고래, beom go rae, "Killer Whale") is named after the strongest Shinheuh in the Tower. Many people have compared her to Enne Zahard, but no-one could easily determine who is the stronger of the two. The debate still rages on today and is a favoured topic of discussion amongst Rankers.[1] She is tied with Eurasia Enne Zahard for the 7th Ranking in The Tower, which makes them the highest ranked non-Irregulars in the Tower.
It is said Adori also uses a Carrier which allows a Fisherman to fill any position.[8] A Carrier is a combination of a Pocket, a Lighthouse and a Pipe.
Arie Swordsmanship: Being a descendant of the Arie Family, Adori is a practitioner of Arie Swordsmanship. Swords wielded with Arie swordsmanship are considered to have no blind spots and there are no good techniques to counteract this style.[9][10] As shown when she confronted the Po Bidau Family, a single slash of Adori’s sword was powerful enough to completely obliterate Po Bidau Proust’s Lighthouses and break through his Barrier and bisect the Ark of Knowledge, devastating the Po Bidau Family and possibly annihilating them.
About
Other Settings
Originally known as only Adori Zahard in SIU's blogpost, she was not initially from the 10 Great Families. According to the old lore, she has a multitude of both male and female fans due to her golden hair and beautiful face.[1] However, when she became canon in the series, her hair color was shown to be white.[11]
Additionally, in the old lore, Adori and her royal guards were the only ones outside the main branch of the Arie family to have learned Arie Swordsmanship. However, the author seemingly expanded on this idea and ultimately placed her directly as a member of the Arie family.[12]
